Bingo! I agree that once a show makes a commitment to a
statement or idea it needs to be careful, but tv has no obligation
to us to present anything as representative of the free world or
even the writers and creators of the show. If a show turns to crap
because it's afraid of being PI, there's something wrong with
either the show, the audience or both.
Though there will ALWAYS be assholes at both ends. Wait, that
sentence didn't come out so well. What I meant is, you're going
to have fucked-up viewers and you're going to have tightasses
on the creative team. Unless it's a Kevin Smith movie; then I
imagine the production team is quite liberal with the ideas of
what's pushing the boundaries of good taste. Or Bret Easton
Ellis's editors and publisher. Indeed, that entire team is a good
example of knowing when NOT to fuck with the art for the sake of
the broader audience range.

Agreed. Whether they're gay or straight, a bigot's a bigot. I'm not
IMPLYING ANYTHING about people on this list. But there are
some people out there who are very, very hateful and indeed hae
bigoted views about heterosexuality , especially within Willow's
relationships.

You know, I hate Joss, but he is a smart, perceptive man.
Sometimes. Sometimes he's a fucking boob. Eh. Guess he's
human after all. Oh damn ;)
