RE: "and he proudly named Willow."
In "The Breakfast Club", Aly Sheedy's character spends the better part
of the movie curled up and hiding inside of her parka, all folded up to
try and hide from the world. The analogy was fresh in my mind because
Joss, doing the DVD commentary on "Hush", said that he'd wanted a
physically smaller actress, so that Tara could seem vulnerable, and that
Marti Noxon had convinced him that Amber could handle it. And as part
of showing Tara's shyness, he had her all curled up and folded during
that "wannablessedbes" scene.
Which, IMO, with Amber being the biggest girl in the room, just looks
damn weird. I think the posture did a good bit of alienating me from
Tara--maybe if she'd just stood up straight, I'd have liked her more.
(Or maybe not.)
And yes "St. Sunkencheeks" is one of my [many, many] derogatory
nicknames for Spikey.
