Re: "and he proudly named Willow."
I find it ever-so telling that Whedon can only regard his characters
as plot-devices. Willow must be the "damsel in distress" once she
can no longer be that, she's useless. Like in Season Sux, killing
Tara off (a character whom nontheless was much beloved by fans) was
only a method of hurting Willow, and make her the Evil Irrational
Lesbian who can only be saved by Strong Rational Men Giles and Xander.
To the notion that Spike is somehow "better" or "hoiler" than Willow-
I say whomever says such commits blasphemy and I condem them to the
Iron Maiden.
If Willow is really his favorite, then he should not have shafted her
so carelessly.
If Whedon is such a Shakespeare buff, than I must say he has learned
absolutely nothing from the Bard.
He has said that he hoped that Buffy would grow beyond him. Well, it
has. He can't fuck it up anymore. It's in OUR hands now.
How's about we get back to the fiction 'kay? This is a Happy Place!
I'll go away now,
Patrick
