Well, personally, I think the neatest thing would be for writers to 
tackle the challenge of the unbalanced triad (where not every party 
is involved with every other party). Frankly, that's the only 
conception of, for example, B-W-T that makes sense to me. Were I 
ever to write down anything that's in my head, I'd do B-W-Oz that way.

The "Games" series is (*IIRC*) the only work I've read that tries to 
address this (and I TOTALLY DIG that series, btw). But as my eyes 
tend to roll back at the sight of W/T {heh}, my knowledge of what's 
out there may be inadequate.
