Just out of curiosity, why in the world would anyone have a fight about

Let's see...

Someone wrote a fic and someone made a comment about the author's apparent
fixation with guys being uncircumcised in every fic they wrote, then someone
else made a comment about the rates of circumcision in the US, then someone
else started up about how it was barbaric, and someone started defending it,
and somehow the religion of the founding fathers got dragged into it and how
they weren't actually Christian and at the same time there's a huge uproar
over D/X and underage sex and censorship and then politics starts popping up
here so I freak out, turn the computer off, and start re-reading 'The Sword
of Shannara' again until everything calms down.

The upside is that I've now got more time to read a real kick ass book
series again!

Geeze. Good call on going off to read 'The Sword of Shannara.' I'm going
off to read the newest Valdemar anthology myself, mostly because I was a
very bad veggie at the bookstore today and probably won't wander back to the
computer for a week.

Hey, a fellow Mercedes Lackey fan! Me, I tend to enjoy her urban fantasy
stuff more(when is she gonna crank out another Diana Tregarde novel?), but
Valdemar is pretty classy. Plus she's not afraid to write same-sex
relationships, and not for the shock value. In the meantime, there's always
Terry Pratchet's Discworld, or Mariam Zimmer Bradley's The Mists of Avalon.

waiting for Spider Robinson's latest Callihan novel to come out in
paperback.

Sadly, there will probably never be another Diana Tregarde novel, although
we might get the odd short story. A friend of mine has met Mercedes Lackey
and asked. There also used to be a note about it on her website, dunno if
it's still there. Apparently, they just didn't sell well enough. Oh, and
if you read them, they're going to be continuing the Sword and Sorceress
anthologies beyond the ones that MZB had already edited.

Willow: "It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in."
Buffy: "I kinda love you."
