During filming

2 1/2 years before they started the subplot, according to ASH.  So,
it'd be whatever 2 1/2 years was before Bring On The Night was
written.

the money of UPN came into the picture.  The overwhelming data supports that
Buffy the Vampire Slayer's major plot was outlined roughly four to five
years in advance.  I neither have the time nor really the interest to dig up
quotes from the writers or the actors that state Buffy knew she was going to
get a kid sister as early as season two or knew she was going to die as
early as  season one.  That's one of the reasons I've let you slide on that
strange quote of ASH's.  (Considering that the writers wouldn't flesh out
the subplots of  individual episodes until the summer before they began
shooting the season.  Which means the writers wouldn't had been considering
the "not touching subplot" during season five.  They would have fleshed out
the "subplot" at the time they wrote the episode in season seven.)

Over all you have no supporting data for your theory.  I suggest that you go
back into the archives of the earleir seasons and read the intereviews from
the writers, the actors, the stunt people, makeup artists, and directors and
not trust the spin of one man.
