Summary:  Buffy and Willow discuss Buffy's relationship with the 
Immortal, Willow's relationship with Kennedy, post Slayer Activation 
Spell complications, weird lost magical, and otherwise, artifacts, 
and Dawn's new, um, friend.


Buffy:  So...

Willow:  So...

Buffy:  Now that we've confirmed it, now that we definately know for 
sure...

Willow:  It changes things.  Yeah...

Xander:  Hey, what's up?

Willow:  Oh, my whole relationship with Kennedy isn't quite what I 
thought it was...

Xander:  You figured out she was a substitute for the Buffster? 

Willow's eyes widen.

Xander:  It was pretty obvious.  

Buffy:  Well...  It's even more complicated than that.

Xander:  How?

Willow:  Oh, just the whole reason she was attracted to me in the 
first place.

Xander:  Why wouldn't she be?

Buffy:  That's what I said.  

Willow:  That's just it...

Xander:  Huh?

Willow:  BUFFY'S attracted to me.

Buffy:  More than attracted...

Willow:  And it seems all the other Slayers...  even when they were 
just potentials...  are all attuned to the Slayer Prime, here.  They 
react to things...  and people...  the way SHE does.

Xander:  Well, that would explain why you had such an easy time 
recruiting them when you found them...

Buffy:  And why they pay such close attention to you when you're 
teaching them...

Willow:  Yeah...  But are they paying any attention to what I'm 
saying?

Xander:  So...  What does this mean for you two?

Buffy:  That's up to Willow  (smiles flirtatiously).

Willow:  Well, someone's going to have to break things off with the 
Immortal, first...

Buffy:  C'mon, Will, that was never a serious relationship...

Willow:  The Immortal's a CRIMINAL!  A THIEF!

Buffy:  Now, look...  Amanda's a great person, and she's a friend of 
Giles's.

Willow:  From his Ripper days.  And, I think they were more than 
friends...

Buffy:  Hey, this is three lovers I've shared with Dru, so sharing 
one with Giles is no big.  Besides...  (smiles)  You didn't complain 
about those tricks she taught me when I was comforting you, last 
time...

Willow:  OK, I'll grant a thousand years of experience has it's 
benefits...  We'll talk about this, later.  Our liaison from the 
Ministry of Magic will be here any minute.

Xander:  Is that what Dawn's so happy about?

Buffy:  Oh, yeah.  They're...  close.

Xander:  (protective mode)  Is this someone we can trust?

Willow:  We've checked her credentials.  Recent graduate of 
Hogwarts.  Was very key in defeating Voldemort.

Buffy:  Bit of a bookworm...  (smiles)  I like her.

Willow:  Hmmph...

Xander:  Wasn't this a little quick?  It's not like Dawn to rush 
into a relationship...

Buffy:  Well, she's wanting to research the Slayer supernatural sex 
drive, and I've agreed to help...

Willow:  And she wants to compare magical methods with me, do some 
spells...

Buffy:  And Dawn wanted to get somewhere first, for once. 

Xander:  Ah...  OK.  Someday, I'm going to learn not to ask these 
things.  

Willow:  Don't see any use for a wand...

Dawn:  (entering)  Oh, wands have their uses...  She can do some 
amazing magic with hers...  Oh, hi, Xander.  This is Hermoine 
Granger, our liaison with the Ministry.

Hermoine:  It's a pleasure to meet you.  

Xander:  The pleasure's all mine.  Well, I'll just let you have your 
meeting...

Buffy:  Yeah, girl talk. 

Xander leaves.

Buffy:  So, um, is this the sort of wand magic they teach you in 
school?

Hermoine:  Well, it's more self study, and experimenting with your 
friends...

Willow:  I'm looking forward to comparing notes.  

Hermoine:  Dawn's shown me some of the things you've taught her.  I 
didn't know some of that was possible without a wand...

Dawn:  (smiles, arm around Hermoine)  I'm a great student.

Buffy:  So, what's new with the Ministry?

Hermoine:  We're trying to track down some old magical artifacts 
that have disappeared over the years.  Don't want the next wannabe 
Dark Wizard to get them, after all...  The one I really want to 
find, though...  All trace of it disappeared a few years ago.  The 
Key of Dagon...

Dawn stiffins.

Buffy:  Oh, no need to worry about that.  It can only be used to 
open doors to other worlds every thousand years, and that passed a 
little over three years ago.

Hermoine:  Ah, good.  That explains why the Death Eaters quit 
looking for it about that time.  Still, though, it'd probably be a 
good idea to find it, for safe keeping.

Buffy and Willow exchange a look.

Hermoine:  (pulls out wand)  I can't understand how it's eluded 
me...  I put a very specific charm on my wand that should have led 
me right to it.  

Willow suppresses a giggle.

Buffy:  (smiles)  Maybe your wand's touched it, and you just didn't 
realize.

Willow's now clamped her hands over her mouth, while Dawn shoots a 
glare at Buffy.

Hermoine:  It's weird...  It's like it's so close I can taste it...

Willow's now having to hold her stomach as well as her mouth.

Buffy:  Like the answer's on the tip of your toungue?

Hermoine:  Exactly!  (noticing Willow now turning red in a effort to 
keep it in)  Is she OK?
