It's true, I am just as surprised as he is at the lack of interest in the list and the lack of fan-fiction lately. At first I thought it was just the summer time, since that's when things seemed to cool off and as the winter progressed,  and with not much fiction coming in, I figured what happened with the X-Filesdom happened here, people lost interest. I've been hanging on because I love this pairing and would hate to give it up and would also love to see the end of those fics that are still in progress.

I also wanted to own up to my part in the laziness. I do read the fics (trust me, you guys don't want me writing 'em) and I don't always send in feedback, and when I do it's always off list when it's past the "Good show, keep going" type of feedback. When I get into more specific feedback I usually take it to the author's email and run a private discussion. I admit to being painfully shy even with the anonymity of the internet and would rather be in a one on one conversation with the author instead of having the whole list involved. Maybe I'm doing the list a disservice, but that's how I feel comfortable. 

I will try more, in the future to send the feedback to the list itself, but can't always promise. There are authors that I have a running conversation with that I would just rather keep of list. 

Thanks MH, for the post. It really did make me think about how much feedback and participation makes a big difference. Hopefully it'll put a fire under us all.
