Down Twisted; the end

yep, it's finally here!  as ya'll know, I'm still not sure if I like 
how my ode to the Buffyverse became like This.  let me know what ya 
think, 'kay?  depending on your reaction, I'll decide if I should 
post it 
over at IKOLY.   Thanks to all whom took the ride with me, I truly 
off ya'll my most humble apperciation.

            Description:  I dunno. I'm thinking pure and utter
         fluff will do! Honestly, whom knew I'ed leave it as
         a hopeful ending?!?


                       Epilouge: 24 months later

     A great many things had changed since the time Alex had entered 
the lives of Buffy Summers and Willow Rosenberg.  Xander and Anya 
where now, happily, married.  The reception had taken place 11 months 
ago and, though it had been filled with much joy, it also happened to 
be the last time the Slayer, Witch and dark Southerner had been in 
the same room togther.  

   Rupert Giles and Joyce Summers where, at this time, openly dating 
and the Slayer, surprisingly, was totally okay with this knowledge. 
The Big Bad, naturally, still caused havoc on the Hellmouth but it 
was nothing that Buffy couldn't handle.  

   Willow had become, through much time and error, had become one of 
the most powerful Witches in North America, everyone in Sunnydale was 
glad that her tender heart still ruled over her baser emotions. 

    Buffy, to know one's surprise, had turned out to be a veratible  
legend with the Council members since she was the oldest living 
Slayer on record.  One day, soon, she hoped to find someone to turn 
the mantle of slaying over too.  

   The two women where, unsurprisingly, still head over heels for 
eachother.  Alexandra Roberts had been right, their love only seemed 
to deepen as the years passed.  Witch and Slayer where still residing 
in the small house Alex had once called her own. That, you see,had 
been the Southerner's finally gift to the young couple.  This 
knowledge had, no lie, floored the girl's,it hadn't seemed quite real 
until the keys where placed within their capable hands.

   Presently, the young women happened to be sitting out one the 
back porch, drinking from their cans of Pepsi.  It should be said 
that neither Buffy nor Willow could look out at the back yard 
without, fondly, recalling precisely what had occured out there.  The 
red head, after first taking another sip of her ice, cold drink, 
turned to lock eyes with her beloved Slayer.

                   " Two years, my God, can you believe it's been 2 
years since Alex Roberts first entered our lives?   Seems just like 
yeasterday to me.  I've been missing her quite abit, how about you 
Buffy?"

              " You know it,babe," said the grinning Slayer, " I 
don't think the day will ever come when we don't miss having Alex in 
our lives."

  Buffy then astounded her lover by turning and clicking cans with 
the other woman.

              " Here's to Alexandra Katherine Roberts, may her life 
finally be at peace.  And, might I add, lets hope maybe one day, 
soon, we can get together for a much needed visit."

 If there happened to be a touch of censor to her voice it was only 
because they hadn't actually seen the woman in quite some time.

                       " Here, here," proclaimed Willow," to our 
Alex."

 The women proceeded to drain their cans and, to honor the memory of 
their friend, began swaying together in the still moonlight.  They 
had no way of knowing, of course, that thousand miles away, a dark 
haired woman was attempting, without much sucess, to do the same 
thing.

  The woman, with the laughing gray eyes, wasn't able to do That 
because she was, currently, holding a squirming, four year old in her 
arms.

            " Hush, Julia and let your Aunt do this one thing, okay?"

  For once, the little girl seemed to actually understand what Alex 
had been trying to tell her for the past 10 minutes.  The dark 
woman,with a few wrinkles radiating out from her gaze, couldn't 
resist brushing a light kiss across her neices's left temple.  As a 
cool breeze washed over Alexandra Roberts frame, and under a bright 
canopy of stars, she spoke the word's that where held within her 
deepest heart.

              " May Buffy and Willow reamain blissfully happy 
together beccause God, you know they damn well, deserve That.  And 
please, if you'll grant me one more wish, allow me the chance to see 
my friend's again.  Happy Anniversary, guys."

 With those words, Alex and her giggling neice turned and began 
walking back to the Roberts abode.  As the woman stared into the 
girl's innocent, gray-blue eyes an idea suddenly popped into her 
head.  It was a wickedly, cool idea, if she did think so herself, and 
a ironically,snarky grin over took her face. 

                " You know, bug, maybe one day, when your just a 
little older, I'll share with you a tale of how a Southerner, a 
Slayer and a Witch became friend's  and all the insueing times they 
shared since then. Would you like that, Sugar, maybe I'll start 
writing it down tonight." 

  Not reciving a verbale answer, the laughing girl and her smirking 
Aunt opened the door and walked into the brightly lit home.  So ends 
the tale of Alex, the Vampire Slayer and her Wiccan lover.
