RE: Fanfic preferences
TX,
Good question. For me that's never bothered me, for instance
when I first started reading Buffy fanfic I was a B/W worshipper (and stillam!
<G>), but I read and enjoy some other pairings as well (B/C, C/F, W/T,
B/T). I've seen pairings from an author i really like and not liked the
story, but as for not ever reading the author's stories again...no. That's not
happened, since its just this story or pairing that I don't like. Really bizarre
pairings like Xena/Legaspi would probably turn me off for the story since Ijust
can't see a way to justify the logic of the pairing. (You have to admit that
would be a stretch for anyone to get those 2 together <g>). I know i've
seen pairings like Willow/Giles or Buffy/Giles which just makes me shudder at
the very thought, it's like thinking about your parents having sex. Which as we
all know, parents only have/had sex as many times as they have had childrenand
even thinknig about that gives me shudders and sleepless nights!
<BG>
Well that was my 2 pennies.

I'm one of
those people who doesn't get to keep up with fanfic on a
regular
basis. Usually, I catch up by reading archives when I can.
But I
was just wondering -- does anyone else out there have a hard
time reading
fanfic if it's not "your" couple? For example, you can
read
Willow/Tara, but not Willow/Buffy...or Blair/Jo but not Sue
Ann/Molly...or
Xena/Gabrielle...but not Xena/Legaspi. Does it kinda
turn you away
(no offense to the writers, K?) from reading when it's
not two characters
from the same show or when it's two character that
you'd prefer not to see
together...kinda like John Carter and Susan
Lewis on ER?
Just
wondering...
Thanks,
TX
