Okay, I'll buy that. What I've seen is an interview with Lindsay Crouse
saying that she thought she was going to be in the rest of the season until
she suddenly got written out. If it was her agents who goofed, she wouldn't
have known what happened until after the fact. 

And I don't miss Riley in the slightest, he was still worse than Spuffy.
Boring is sure death to a TV series.

What I don't get is why they can't leave Buffy single. If they can't find a
guy that works for her, leaving aside Buffy/Willow as a pairing, why have
her with anyone at all? Real women can exist without a boyfriend. Or a
girlfriend. Better no one than the wrong one.
