Yeah, that's definitely true. But, Buffy was Willow's friend who 
happened to be a girl (not girlfriend). I mean, you could see it in a 
gay way, but it was not substantial enough for me.

Bad Girls was way more than that as did Choices. But, the things are 
not as black and white as Buffy wants Faith or Willow is jealous. 
It's way more compliticated.

I don't think that B/X, was ever meant, except maybe at the very end.
Xander was the male lead. Only later on Buffy's love interests got 
more attention than Xander got. In the earlier season Xander was 
involved in every relationship possible, including Willow's. Xander's 
role got stuck in nothing more than the core: a male teenager growing 
up.

Can't agree with you any more than that and I definitely saw rather 
Xander/Buffy than Riley/Buffy. I can't stand Wood at all. Even after 
all the screentime and plotlines he stole from Xander he's still a 
boring one dimentional Mr Sue character. What a waste!

W/K is still more successful than B/R. W/K is not a complete failure.

That's true.

It's personal. But, I find B/S's chemistry non-existent. It worked 
because of James Marsden's. But, compare it with Spike/Willow or even 
Spike/Xander. (Or the much hated Spike/Faith). All of them have more 
chemistry.

Yep. Only we barely saw anything of it in S7. It was all nothing.
